Wine

Scotchmans Hill Cornelius Kirkcaldy Vineyard Pinot Noir draws solely from the Kirkcaldy Vineyard on Victoria's Bellarine Peninsula, sited on black vertosol soils.

The fruit is destemmed into small open fermenters and cold soaked. Fermentation takes place with wild yeasts, the juice receiving daily hand plunging. Once sugar dryness is reached, the wine is pressed from the skins.

Malolactic fermentation occurs naturally in French oak barrels, a proportion of which are new. After 18 months, the wine is blended, filtered and bottled.

Red purple, Scotchmans Hill Cornelius Kirkcaldy Vineyard Pinot Noir has peppery dark fruit flavours and smoky oak. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
